In their words
From the feedback I have been getting, I know you enjoy reading about the experiences of other Mums…so here are some more comments from a few Mums that I have gathered.
The topic is motivation:
If I was just looking at my kids’ needs I would have stuck with being a swimming instructor because that fits in with the kids’ hours. So definitely, this is about personal desire. Definitely.
I’ve always been a learner for life…I have a hungry brain and I find those periods in my life when I’m not using it constructively I get really…disillusioned with things.
The empowerment of going to Uni at 30…the education and the knowledge, was uplifting and motivating and I loved every day. It was worth the sacrifice of being exhausted.
I did this to prove to myself that I could do it.
I was motivated by the idea that I would one day graduate. I pictured that scene over and over in my mind.
As a very wise lecturer once said to me. You get a degree one day at a time. She called it stick-ability. She said stick-ability will get you there.
